Privacy Policy
Last updated October 28, 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by House Done. We create marketing videos for home service companies and run pages where homeowners can request a quote or where those companies can book a call with us. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
What this policy covers
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this website, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to House Done pages on this site, including booking pages, pay-per-lead pages, and quote request pages. A home service company you request a quote from may have its own privacy practices once it receives your request.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Contact and request details you submit, such as your name, phone number, email address, company name, trade, ZIP code, the service you want, and the consent you give to be called or texted.
- Scheduling details when you book a call through an embedded calendar, such as Calendly, including the name, email, and time you provide to that service.
- Contact details you provide in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram. If you submit a form there, Facebook (Meta) may send us the information you entered.
- Analytics data about visits to this site, such as pages viewed, referrers, device and browser type, and approximate location. We use Fathom Analytics, which is designed to be privacy-focused and does not use cookies or collect personally identifying information for analytics.
- Advertising and measurement data when Facebook and Instagram advertising tools are active. That includes the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. Those tools can collect pages you view, buttons or links you click, conversion events (for example, submitting a quote request or booking a call), your IP address, browser and device information, campaign parameters such as UTM tags, the Facebook click identifier (fbclid), and cookie identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc. Facebook may match that activity to your Facebook or Instagram account. See “Facebook and Instagram advertising” below.
- Technical logs that our hosting provider may process automatically, such as IP address, request timestamps, and user agent, to deliver and secure the site.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to a quote request, booking, or other message you send us
- Share a homeowner quote request with the home service company named on the page you used, after we review it
- Schedule and follow up on calls
- Understand aggregate traffic and improve the site
- Measure and improve advertising, including ads on Facebook and Instagram
- Build audiences and show relevant ads about House Done or the offers on this site
- Protect the site against abuse and keep it running securely
Facebook and Instagram advertising
We use advertising tools from Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates, including Facebook and Instagram. Those tools may include the Facebook pixel (Meta Pixel), the Conversions API, custom or lookalike audiences, and related Business Tools. These tools help us:
- Measure how Facebook and Instagram ads perform, including impressions, clicks, and conversions
- Understand which pages or actions on this site matter for those campaigns
- Build or refine audiences, including showing ads to people who visited this site
- Deliver and optimize ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Meta’s Audience Network
When these tools run, information about your browser session and interactions on this site may be collected with cookies, pixels, and similar technologies and shared with Facebook. Facebook may use that information together with information it already holds about you, in line with its own policies. Facebook may act as an independent controller of data it receives through these tools for its own advertising and measurement purposes.
Learn more in Facebook’s Privacy Policy and Facebook’s Cookies Policy. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook ad settings and in Instagram’s privacy and security settings. You can also visit aboutads.info/choices for industry opt-out options where available.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA or UK), we will seek consent before using non-essential advertising cookies or similar technologies, including the Facebook pixel, for advertising or personalized ads.
Cookies and similar technologies
Fathom Analytics on this site is configured not to rely on cookies for tracking. Facebook advertising tools may set or read cookies such as _fbp and _fbc, and we may store those identifiers so ad clicks can be matched to a later quote or booking. We also use a session cookie that is necessary to operate forms and keep the site secure.
Your browser and our hosting provider may also use technical cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to deliver the site or protect against abuse. Those technologies are controlled by those providers under their own policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features or Facebook ad measurement.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may load resources from other sites, including analytics from Fathom, scheduling from Calendly, and scripts from Facebook at connect.facebook.net and facebook.com. Content or scripts from other websites can behave as if you visited those sites directly. Those providers may collect data about you according to their own privacy policies.
Who we share your data with
We may share data in these limited cases:
- The home service company named on a quote page, when you ask that company to contact you. We share the details needed to follow up, such as your name, phone number, email if you provided one, ZIP code, and the service you requested.
- Service providers that help operate the site, such as hosting, analytics (Fathom), scheduling (Calendly), and email delivery.
- Advertising partners, including Facebook and Instagram (Meta), for ad delivery, measurement, audience building, and related advertising purposes as described in this policy.
- Legal requirements, if required by law, court order, or government regulation.
- Business transfers, if this site or related assets are transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale.
Service providers are expected to use your data only to provide their services to us and to protect it appropriately. Advertising partners such as Facebook may process shared data under their own privacy policies for their advertising systems.
Sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some U.S. state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, sharing personal information with advertising partners such as Facebook for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing.” When Facebook advertising tools are active on this site, that kind of sharing may occur for the advertising purposes described above.
If you are a California resident, or a resident of another state with similar rights, you may request to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising by emailing [email protected]. You may also use the Facebook and industry opt-out links in the Facebook section above. Where we support browser signals such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor them as required by applicable law.
How long we retain your data
- Quote, booking, and contact records are kept as long as needed to respond, operate the service, and meet legal or accounting duties, or until you ask us to delete them when we are not required to keep them.
- Analytics is retained by Fathom according to their retention settings for aggregate site statistics.
- Advertising and measurement data is retained by Facebook and related tools according to their settings and policies. We keep campaign reports only as long as needed for advertising operations.
- Server logs are retained by providers for a limited period for security and operations.
What rights you have over your data
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it, except where we must keep information for legal, administrative, or security reasons.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you may also have rights under the GDPR or an equivalent law, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.
Children’s privacy
This site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.
Contact us about privacy
Questions about this policy, or requests to exercise your privacy rights, including an opt-out of sale or sharing where that applies, can be sent to [email protected]. We aim to respond to privacy inquiries within 30 days.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes, we may also post a notice on this site. Continued use of the site after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
